Alo returned to the big city for a 2nd season as the official wellness partner of NYFW: The Shows (and we’re still on cloud 9 after seeing how the A-listers styled Alo for nights out on the town).
From all-day wellness activations to nightly soirées, this week was all about widespread community, meaningful connection, and, of course, fashion innovation.
The thing is: Fashion Week wasn’t always like this. In fact, New York Fashion Week has experienced many iterations as fashion, culture, and the world evolve.
Originally created in lieu of Paris Fashion Week when World War II interfered with travel to and from Europe, New York Fashion Week became a breakout moment for many American designers.
This paved the way for a collection of up-and-coming fashion connoisseurs to make their debut.

Fast forward to September 2021 — nearly a year and half into a pandemic and an era where the world has finally welcomed mental health into the global conversation — and Alo had the honor of leading the newest fashion week adaptation with wellness at the helm.
This season, we leaned hard into mindfulness both IRL and virtually. On opening day of NYFW, Alo announced our entrance into the metaverse on Roblox, marking a new way to experience fashion and to get mindful in the digital world.
The immersive Alo Sanctuary experience on Roblox prioritized mind-body wellness for 12.5 million users across the globe and served as the inspiration for all NYFW activations this season.
A heartfelt thank you to Spring Studios for allowing us to replicate this extraordinary wellness experience in real-life for NYFW. Mirroring the virtual Alo island on Roblox, each day of NYFW was packed with meaningful ways to press pause and recharge. Based on the twinkle in the eyes of Charly Jordan and Harry Jowsey, it was evident that these activations worked their magic.
Each morning commenced with a meditation led by Jackie Stewart and Amina Taha, a much-needed dose of mindfulness before the energy of NYFW festivities got under way.
After wrapping the morning meditation, the opportunity to dive deeper into total wellness continued. For an exciting new way to rest & recoup, Nao Wellness and WTHN offered ear seeding — not only did the gold and pearl ear seeds look chic for upcoming fashion shows but they also delivered targeted relief that kept NYFW-goers goin’ all week long.
Those in need of a pulse check (a must-have during the hustle & bustle of a city that never sleeps), Pardis Partow provided intuitive readings, Nicole Rutsch offered reiki healing, and Crystal Luther delivered psychic and tarot readings — the hardest part was deciding which one we needed most.
After finding alignment and harmony, attendees could visit LEAA Health for a shot of B12 — think IV drip, but better — or Maddie Gentile for a Magnesium Reset Spray-inspired massage that brought on the same impact of a 30-minute savasana within a 5-minute span.
For the cherry on top of this wellness-packed day, Joy Dushey and Nicole Motter lulled us to peace with a soothing sound bath.
This mindful oasis was complete with small bites and sips provided by Ruby’s Café, the perfect fashion fuel we all needed.
Post-mindful mornings and afternoon catwalks, the community joined together to celebrate in a nighttime bash. Between Joy Corrigan making our newest Pink Fuchsia Airlift Leggings look like an upscale after-hours city moment and our stylist Elizabeth Sulcer showing up dressed to impress per usual, this fashion week function was one for the books.
After a day of diving deep into mind-body wellness and getting inspired with fashion innovation by the world’s best designers, everyone was ready to celebrate with the ultimate night cap.
Alo partnered with Casamigos to bring guests elevated elixirs that allowed us to toast to a new mindful era of fashion week (and also dance the night away alongside Tyler Cameron and Mad Tev).
Oh, to be a fly on the wall at the Alo x NYFW party — Aubrey Marie performing acro yoga from the ceiling, Daiane Sodre serving up a high-gloss moment in the Stunner Puffer, and Aweng Chuol looking like a gem in a Green Emerald Cinch Long Sleeve.
If these fashion icons delivering elevated Alo looks isn't the ultimate inspo, we don’t know what is.
As you can tell by the pics, the glow up was so real thanks to that morning’s itinerary at Spring Studios. Alo has been honored to bring our roots of mindfulness and holistic wellness to a week that has inspired us for so many years, and we’re thrilled to have a community that gets just as excited about it as we do.
