HEALTHY HABITS WITH SAKARA LIFE
Make 2025 the year of you. Start the year off right and join us as we dive deeper into how to better incorporate wellness into our everyday routines. We asked Sakra Life founders and co-CEOs, Danielle DuBoise & Whitney Tingle for their professional opinions on building and sustaining healthy wellness habits for 2025. Here’s what they said.
What advice do you have for those wanting to build sustainable wellness habits?
Building sustainable wellness habits starts with tuning into your body and learning to listen to what it’s telling you. That requires a calm, regulated nervous system and a nourished body. At Sakara, we always say: eat clean, play dirty. Focus on what you ARE eating every single day, but have fun when you’re looking for some french fries and a martini out with friends. When it comes to our nutrition, we often let perfect get in the way of great. We believe joy is a nutrient, so having that glass of wine with your best friends can be nutritive. Focus on adding nourishing foods to your diet, like leafy greens, fresh vegetables, and whole grains, instead of eliminating things. Hydrate, get outside and connect with practices that bring you joy. The key is to listen to what your body needs and honor it, moment by moment. Wellness is a journey, and it’s all about cultivating balance and rituals that align with your life, so the results last a lifetime.
What wellness trends are you most excited about in 2025?
We’re really hoping to see wellness shifting back to its roots of simplicity and consistency. People are beginning to embrace the power of everyday choices—what you eat, how you move, and how you care for your mental and emotional health—rather than chasing quick fixes. Functional foods and supplements that provide clean nourishment are becoming staples, and we love the integration of ancient practices like sound healing, breathwork, and mindfulness into daily routines. There’s also a beautiful focus on mental wellness and emotional resilience as integral to overall health. We’re learning it’s not about eating perfectly. It’s about eating well and living well. It’s an exciting time when people are creating sustainable, intentional habits and redefining what it means to truly live well.
The New Year is often a time for fresh starts. For someone trying Sakara for the first time, what’s the best way to begin integrating your products into their routine?
A fresh start looks different for everyone, and it depends on what you’re seeking. If you’re looking to build a foundation of nourishment and energy, our 5-Day Signature Nutrition Program is the perfect way to begin. It’s deeply nourishing and provides your body with the essential nutrients it needs to thrive, leaving you feeling lighter, more energized, and aligned.
If you’re ready for a deeper reset, our Level II Detox might be the right choice. It’s a challenge, but it’s designed to help you release old patterns and embrace the new, clearing the way for your highest potential. No matter where you begin, listen to your body and let it guide you. Every small step you take creates a ripple effect toward vibrant, lasting health.
What kind of foods would you recommend before and after a tough workout to help fuel your activity and give your body what it needs after?
Pre-workout, it’s all about giving your body clean, sustained energy. Think of something light but nutrient-dense, like half an avocado with sea salt or a handful of nuts and fruit. Post-workout, focus on replenishing your body with protein for muscle recovery and complex carbs to refuel. We love a hearty, colorful bowl with quinoa, greens, roasted veggies, and a creamy tahini dressing—or a protein-packed smoothie with our Protein and Greens Super Powder for added nutrients, greens and adaptogens.
Are there any rituals you personally practice when it’s time for a hard reset?
Slowing down is critical. So often people power through these detoxes without slowing down. That can do more harm than good. Resets can be a stressful, yet critical time for your body. Resting more, breathing more, moving more, and saying no to outside events and meetings can offer a beautiful rest for mind, body, and spirit. When it’s time to reset, we turn inward and create space to reconnect with ourselves. Our Level II Detox is one of our favorite ways to clear the slate—clean, plant-based meals designed to lighten the load on your body and mind.
