While we’re enthusiasts of living in the present moment, we also think that recognizing your wins and honoring the path traveled to get there is important too.
For this reason, we’ve decided to take a mid-year pause to reflect on where Alo began, find gratitude in the community that’s joined us along our journey to today, and throw one heck of a party in celebration of it all.
Aloversary 2022 marks our very first festive commemoration of all things Alo and as such, means quite a great deal to us. Since day one, we’ve been inspired by how yoga alters the way we think, feel, and see both ourselves and others — both the physical practice and spiritual principles invite us to humble ourselves, extend love and kindness to our neighbor, and to focus on one breathe at a time. Yoga changes the vibration of the world and we’ve seen that in real-time since Alo’s first day.
Sewn into Alo’s very first pair of leggings was a mission to inspire more people onto their mats and into a practice of mindful movement. What began with activewear of a higher purpose has now evolved into a holistic lifestyle brand offering cutting-edge clean beauty, expert-level gear, a leading online fitness and mindfulness platform, and new (and classic) apparel that continues to change the face of fashion (and NYFW) — more avenues to support the greater ambition of total wellness.
Just as our product categories have expanded, so has our global community. Through our weekly (and free) virtual programming, our #ClubAlo hosts from around the globe, and our (rapidly) growing Sanctuaries, Alo has had the honor of sharing the yoga and mindfulness practices that fuel our fire with so many new faces as well as welcomed in new insights from like-minded people in every nook and cranny of planet Earth.
Our newest endeavor into the metaverse on Roblox with the Alo Sanctuary has allowed us to expand our reach (with over 25 million visits to be exact) with a first-of-its-kind offering rooted in mindfulness. This venture, alongside others, has funded Alo Gives, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports children with free mindful movement resources to use in the classroom and at home.
In honor of the unity, community, and wellness we’ve built together over the past years, we decided we’d have a little (jk, it’s massive) celebration — an Aloversary celebration.
